September 6, 2024 - Dekai, Yahukimo – The Women's Fellowship (PW) of GKI Metanoia Dekai Congregation held a one-day seminar titled “Wise Christian Women” with the sub-theme “God’s Wisdom Empowering Women to Fulfill Their Roles in Family, Work, and Ministry for God's Glory,” based on Proverbs 3:2-11. The event was held at the GKI Metanoia Church building on Seradala Road, Kilo 2, Dekai on September 7, 2024.

The Chairwoman of the Women's Fellowship PW GKI Metanoia Dekai, Trince Nauw, explained that this activity is part of the ongoing work program. “The main goal of this seminar is to strengthen and enlighten us as women, who are often faced with various responsibilities in our daily lives, whether in family, work, or service to God. We hope that through this event, participants can become wise women in facing various challenges wherever they are,” said Trince Nauw.

This seminar was expected to provide enlightenment and wisdom from God, helping participants walk steadfastly as strong and wise Christian women in all aspects of life.

On this occasion, Pastor Nelince Wanma, MTh, also delivered a session emphasizing the importance of skills in applying the wisdom and knowledge given by God. “Everyone has been given knowledge by God, but what we often need is the skill to manage and apply that knowledge in daily life, whether as wives, mothers, or workers,” said Pastor Nelince.

She also added that with the proper training, women can apply their knowledge to navigate difficult situations, such as how to be a wise wife or a mother who can guide her children effectively. Knowledge must be combined with skills that are continuously practiced so that each woman can become a strong, patient, and humble individual in fulfilling their daily roles.

The first day of the one-day seminar, attended by members of the Women's Fellowship of GKI Metanoia Dekai, was expected to be a valuable moment to strengthen faith and deepen wisdom from God in living according to His calling.

The three-day Spiritual Development Seminar, organized by the Women's Fellowship (PW) of GKI Metanoia Dekai Congregation, took place from September 7 to 9, 2024, with a range of activities aimed at strengthening the congregation's faith and knowledge.  

On the first day, Saturday, September 7, 2024, activities began at 08:00 and ran until 14:30, with the main topic “Wise Christian Women.” This session was attended by participants from the Women's Fellowship (PW). From 15:00 to 17:00, a special session on Board Training (USBUH Majelis) was held.

On the second day, Sunday, September 8, 2024, the morning sermon took place from 09:00 to 11:00, followed by a retreat session for Sunday school teachers from 12:00 to 14:30, involving Sunday school teachers and the Youth and Children’s Ministry Workers (BP.PAR). In the afternoon, from 15:30 to 17:30, a fellowship training session for the Men's Fellowship (PKB) was held, attended by members of PKB.

On the last day, Monday, September 9, 2024, the morning session on Parenting for parents of TK, SD, and YPK Metanoia students took place from 08:00 to 10:00. The event continued from 15:00 to 17:30 with a session on Character Development for leaders and members involved in various church ministries.
